'ANYTIME' TIRAMISU

5/5

There’s more than one way to ‘pick me up’! And it doesn’t have to be with coffee. The classic Tiramisu recipe is layered with whipped cream, coffee-soaked lady fingers, with cocoa powder and decadent flavor, but I knew I would need a quick workaround in order to enjoy this kind of a dessert as a busy parent, any day of the week.

Meet my coffee-free ‘Anytime Tiramisu’! It’s creamy with yogurt and cottage cheese which gives it a good protein ‘pick me up’, crunchy with lower calorie ginger snaps, sweet with the perfectly ripe banana and well spiced with cinnamon and ginger.

I’ve never liked coffee, but Tiramisu always looks so good and sure enough, every time I’ve tasted it, the coffee just tastes too overpowering.  So here’s my take on a healthy tiramisu variation on the classic, incorporating delicious flavors and textures and healthy enough to eat for breakfast!

In addition, the classic tiramisu recipes can be a little bit time consuming, but parents these days need something quick and guilt-free. I have created a recipe that creates individual dessert servings and lower calorie cookies to layer with a cinnamon honey yogurt, cottage cheese mixture to layer in your very own dessert glass of your choice.
