Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup whole wheat pancake mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup high protein yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 cup chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder optional if you want a slightly deeper chocolate flavor

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the pancake mix, milk, egg, melted butter, vanilla extract, and chocolate protein powder.
  • Grease and preheat pancake or frying pan on the stovetop.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake.
  • Cook for 3-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, butter, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.

Notes

For extra fluffy pancakes, let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes before cooking.
To make the pancakes ahead of time, cook them as usual and then let them cool completely. Store the pancakes in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for 3 months. To reheat, simply warm them in a toaster or air fryer.
